Trainee Therapy
I offer personal therapy for trainee therapists as a reflective, supportive space for guidance, curiosity, honesty and meaningful change. Having taught and supported therapists in training for over twenty years, I bring a depth of understanding of the emotional, academic and professional demands that training can place on you.
My approach is grounded in warmth, safeness and connection, creating a space where you can explore your inner world at your own pace, without judgement or pressure. I integrate Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Compassion Focused Therapy into a flexible, responsive way of working, exploring with self-kindness and self-care rather than self-criticism. From this place it is easier to approach difficulties differently, developing the strength and wisdom to do/give what is needed both personally and professionally as a future therapist.
Personal therapy is recognised as an essential part of training by organisations such as the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Association for Music Therapy. It supports self-awareness, emotional resilience and the development of your professional identity.
I offer a reduced fee for students, making sessions more accessible during your training.
