Deep-Dive Into How I Do Therapy

My approach to therapy is about helping people live their lives with depth, commitment and joy.

Life is not always easy. None of us get to choose the brain, body or circumstances we are born into, and many things we experience throughout our lives continue to be beyond our control.

BUT we can always reflect on what we think and feel about our experiences. We can also learn about what drives the choices we make. We can even begin to make more compassionate choices that are kinder to ourselves (and others) and create more meaning and purpose in our lives.

All the therapies I offer are based on my commitment to help you explore what is important to you, develop self-care and compassion and build inner resources that support you to live your best life.

All the therapies I offer are grounded in established and well researched therapeutic models and theories. These are the theoretical underpinnings I draw from:

·      Compassion Focused Therapy

·      Humanistic Music Therapy

·      Supportive Music and Imagery

·      Attachment Theory

·      Polyvagal theory and Safe Sound Protocol

·      Trauma Informed Theory and Practice

·      Person Centred Psychotherapy

·      Evolutionary Biology and Cognitive Neuroscience

·      Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Child Development

I am a fully trained Compassion Focussed Therapist and Humanistic Music Therapist. I am a full member of the British Association of Music Therapists (BAMT) and am HCPC registered. I am also a member of the Compassionate Mind Foundation. I am fully trained to offer Supported Music and Imagery sessions and Safe Sound Protocol.
