This policy explains the standard fees and payment arrangements for adult therapy. Any individual arrangement will be agreed in writing before therapy begins.

Fees

In-person therapy: £90 for 60 minutes.

Online therapy: £75 for 60 minutes.

Initial assessment: £120 for 90 minutes.

Letters, reports, professional meetings and supervision are quoted separately. Any charge will be agreed before the work is undertaken.

Payment arrangements

I accept bank transfer and provide the payment details privately. Invoices are normally issued monthly and are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed in writing. Please use the invoice number as your payment reference. Please ask if you need a receipt.

Appointment confirmation

Booking calendar submissions are requests. I personally confirm your appointment. In-person sessions depend on room availability; online sessions do not require a room booking.

Cancellations and missed appointments

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, and appointments missed without notice, will normally be charged in full. Exceptions may be made for emergencies or exceptional circumstances. No fee is charged if I cancel.

Reviewing and ending therapy

We plan to begin with a minimum of four sessions, then review together whether continuing feels appropriate. This is an initial therapeutic plan, rather than an obligation to pay for sessions you do not attend. You remain free to end therapy sooner. Where possible, please give notice equal to the usual interval between our sessions, for example one week if we meet weekly or two weeks if we meet fortnightly. This gives us an opportunity to plan a thoughtful ending. If you decide during a session that it will be your last, I will respect that decision. There is no separate ending fee. The 24-hour cancellation policy still applies to any appointments already booked.

Fee changes

I will give at least two months’ notice of any increase to your agreed session fee.

Difficulty paying

Please contact me if you are having difficulty paying. I will discuss the position with you before deciding whether further sessions need to be paused. Any ending will take account of the therapeutic and practical circumstances.

Third party funding

Please do not assume your insurer or employer will fund sessions. I can accept third party funding only where eligibility, authorisation and payment arrangements have been confirmed before therapy. Any agreed responsibility for an excess, shortfall or cancellation charge will be explained to you in advance.
